Welcome to Scripture Saturday!
Our verse for this week is Psalm 73:26..."My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Through our study of Women in the Bible we saw that, besides the twelve men chosen by Jesus, women were also following Him. These women welcomed Him into their home, financed His ministry, studied His teaching, and served Him and His disciples through acts of faithfulness and devotion. And during His final days, some were with Him through His death and burial. And joyfully, they were first to see Him resurrected.
It was through the strength of faith, and their love of Jesus in their heart, that drew them to Him. Remind yourself that in the same ways, He is drawing you closer to Him. As our study comes to an end and as you spend time in His Word with us this week, think upon how God used these women to encourage you in your devotion and faithfulness.
