Scripture Saturday ~ "Becoming A Woman After God's Own Heart - A Journey Through The Psalms"

12:00 AM

Welcome to Scripture Saturday!

Here are my verses that I chose to meditate on this week...

For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in You! (Psalm 84:10-12)

Knowing that God does not withhold from those who trust in Him shows me that God is all I need for a contented, blessed life.

Here in these verses the psalmist answer the age old question - what is a good life and how do we live it today?

He answers it for us…he would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of God than live in the luxury of sin and wickedness and worldly attractions. We will only find true contentment for our day(s) when we choose to trust in Him. There is no One greater to seek.  Life with God is good for today and even better for tomorrow.
