All Things Working Together - Romans 8:28

11:00 AM

Romans 8:28

This world, ruled by Satan, is filled with evil. And each day grows darker than the one before. That’s why every fiber of my being cries out for the return of Jesus. Oh how I long for my glorified body, and to dwell with the Lord forever. Because let’s face it. This side of heaven is a tough place to be.

Jesus Himself promised rocky times for His followers dwelling on earth. (2Tim. 3:12) And there’s not a single one of us who hasn’t been touched by suffering or faced trials. But the apostle Paul also gives us another promise. Everything we go through, God will use for good for those who love Him.

Still, it can be hard trying to see the good in a bad situation. But our eyes are not God’s. And where we are blind, He sees everything from start to finish. All God asks, is that we trust in the uniquely wonderful plan He has for each of us. In patience, to continue loving, obeying, and praising Him, in good times and bad. Remembering that while we wait for Jesus, neither a smile nor a tear is wasted.

As a home cook, I love the analogy of all things in our lives, good and bad, compared to a recipe. Each experience we go through is an important ingredient needed to produce a delicious outcome. God is our Master Chef. And He knows the perfect combination of events which will lead to amazing results beyond our imagining! A perfect helping of blessings, paired with a heaping side of love, joy, and peace!

No More What If’s - {2 Timothy 1:7}

11:00 AM

Here we are finally! A new year overflowing with new possibilities! And that’s why we here at WitW, are so excited to be doing these monthly challenges. Each of us need encouragement, teaching, fellowship, and growth. And what better way to grow in our relationship with God and others, than to do it alongside fellow believers. So roll up your sleeves, get ready for change, and don’t forget to head over to https://www.facebook.com/groups/womenintheword2 to join in on the discussion!

No More What if's! (2 Timothy 1:7)

God’s gift of emotions can be a double edged sword. For with one side we experience love, joy, and gratitude. Yet with the other, pain, fear, and doubt. And make no mistake. Satan wields the bitter side of that blade ferociously and without mercy. But get this. He can only attack if we let him. You heard me. The Enemy can only strike when we allow him a foothold into our hearts and minds.

Paul makes it very clear in his letter to Timothy, that God fills our spirits with His strength, power and love. The very same power flowing through Jesus as He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and walked on water, resides in us! And that power of God waits with an extended hand for us to grab hold. Because overcoming fear is a two person operation. God gives us the power, but we have to use our sound minds to practice self control. Meaning we are to actively, and intentionally take ahold of our thoughts. And filter those thoughts through the sieve of God’s truth instead of Satan’s lies.

We are in a battle of a lifetime, for my sisters I truly believe we are living in the last days. So how am I going to spend the time remaining? One thing I know for sure, is that I’m done wasting it being afraid. I’m tired of running scared. I’m tired of letting Satan control my thoughts. And I’m tired of going down the rabbit hole of “what ifs.” I’m ready to go to war, with God as my Captain. And in honor of this challenge, I’ve printed off the quote, “If you think anybody is going to scare me, you don’t know me or my God!” I’ve put it on my refrigerator as a daily reminder to dress in the armor of God, (Ephesians 6:10-18) laying down fear and picking up the Lord's peace.

So the next time I find myself afraid, stuck, and unable to move, I’m  going yell out the word FEAR as a call to my Father, Emmanuel, Adonai, and Redeemer. Ruler and Creator of all things, “the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory” (Deuteronomy 20:4)

And so I hope you will join me today as I step out in faith. Challenge yourself to take a step in courage with God leading the way. Maybe it’s trying something new. Or sharing your faith with a stranger. Whatever that step is, small or large, every one taken in overcoming fear is a great victory and testament of faith!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would like to encourage you to keep a journal as you go through these challenges. Each day write down the verse included with the post, along with your feelings, struggles, and victories. Look for “God winks”, the act of looking for God in your day and noticing or recognizing His work. And at the end, you can go back and see if you're not amazed at the work God has done in your life!

The Powerful Influence of a Godly Woman {2 Timothy 3-4}

8:00 PM

I’d like to take a moment to encourage the women who have accepted the calling of motherhood, and others, who choose to invest time, talents and love into the next generations. I want to encourage you today, because you’re probably not going to get the encouragement or the honor from the secular world. Even Eunice and Lois probably dealt with criticism long ago because Eunice had married an unbelieving Gentile.

I grew up during the time when women began to burn their bras and demand equal rights in the workforce, and because of this moment, women who continued to choose the role of “home-manager” were often looked upon as lazy, unproductive and often second-class citizens by the women who were out there trying to make strides for women’s rights.

I occasionally felt the sting of criticism and was made to feel guilty, until one day a very wise “older woman” said to me, “I can’t understand why women would choose to set aside their ‘God-ordained’ calling for one of their own choosing.” I never felt a smidgen of guilt after that.

Marriage and family are pictures of Christ and the church. As mothers, grandmothers and home-managers we have been giving the ability to invest in the future generations; to pour into them a God-centered, Christ-treasuring worldview. We have been given the right to create an environment of peace; nurtured by Christ’s unconditional love. Our loved ones are able to come home and shut out the world knowing they will be built up, nurtured and loved!

John Piper puts it this way: “This is a very high and holy and crucial calling that many of you embrace, with little understanding or encouragement from the world. You are the ones who have heard Titus 2:4-5 not as oppressive but as liberating. Paul said to Titus that the older women should “train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” You have heard that calling as a rich, deep and precious calling which confirms your heart’s longings.

You may be wondering why I'm bringing all this up today, well take look with me at 2 Timothy 3:14-15:
“But as for you [Timothy], continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” (emphasis mine)

First notice who is Paul talking about in verse 14 when he says, “. . . knowing from whom you leaned it”.  He’s got to be talking about Eunice and Lois, Timothy’s mother and grandmother, for:

·         Paul refers (v. 15) to this learning happening “from childhood.”
·         If we look back at 2 Timothy 1:5 we see, “I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.” Paul has already connected Timothy’s faith with what he got from his mother and grandmother.
·         Also in Acts 16:1, Luke told us about how Paul chose Timothy in the first place as missionary partner. “Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. A disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek.” So Timothy is the product of a home with a believing mother and an unbelieving father.

Now here is the exciting part!

Verse 14: “But as for you [Timothy], continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed knowing from whom you learned it.” (emphasis mine once more)

I don’t want you to miss this, Paul is saying Timothy one of the ways to strengthen your faith and persevere through tough times is to remember those who introduced you to the word of God and the way of salvation. Remember the godly influence of your mother, and your grandmother.

Hang onto this, ladies! It’s not the world, nor the church, school etc that has been called to make a “godly influence” on the next generation, it’s you!  You’ve been given the ability (calling) to not only influence your children, but countless others who God brings into your life from time to time.

And only God can measure how your influence today will impact future generations through the lives you impact during your lifetime!

Just how cool is that!?

Vessel of Honor {2 Timothy 1 - 2}

12:30 AM

Tuesday, December 4, 2018

What is a vessel?  A vessel is a container designed to hold something, or a large boat or ship designed to carry something overseas, or a tube or canal in which body fluid is circulated and conveyed to the whole body.  Man was created as a vessel designed to contain, carry and convey God!

Image result for 2 timothy 2:20-21

I spent a great deal of time researching what it means to be a vessel of honor.  I ran into several blog posts about being vessels of clay and how God molds and makes us, which is true,  and we can’t argue with the potter (Romans 9:20-21).  But, go back and read Romans 9:20-21 “But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?” Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use?”  We are vessels of clay, but we are destined for honor and glory.

Continue reading in Romans 9:23… we are vessels of mercy.  God had mercy on us because He destined us to be His containers!

What makes us an honorable vessel?  Paul tells Timothy to keep himself pure.  God uses cleansed people who flee from sin and pursue godliness.  You get to choose the type of vessel you will be.  Do you want to be a gold or silver vessel, used for honor, or will you be a cheap clay pot, used for dishonor?

God uses evil people for His righteousness.  He used Judas in His plan of putting Jesus on the cross.  And Acts 27-28 says, “For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose predestined to occur.”

Proverbs 16:4 also says, “The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil.”

Please don’t allow yourself to think, “we are just robots!”  We have a choice.  We are accountable for our choice – either become a filthy vessel that God uses for dishonor or a clean vessel that God uses for honor.

I have been in a state of what I call ‘stale bread'.  I seem to be standing still and not going anywhere, yet if you know me, I am busier than I was when all my kids were in school!  So what’s going on you ask?  I began asking the Lord to show me what was keeping me from moving forward?  I asked Him what was stopping me from reaching His purpose for my life.  I’ll have to admit, it’s taken a long time for me to understand, but He has been slowly showing me what has been keeping me unclean.

Whether or not you are at this point in your life or not, you will come to a point that you need to go deeper in your relationship with the Lord.  Jesus is coming back soon! Are you waiting on God to do something amazing in your life prior to Jesus’ return?  Well then, now is a good time to prepare yourself to be that honorable vessel that God can use.

You have to empty yourself before Him and be honest where you are – with EVERYTHING!  God is good and He knows everything about you, but you have to come clean before Him yourself.

“Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!”  2 Corinthians 13:5

I hate to say this, but there are a lot of people walking this earth on the wide road, and they don’t even know it.  And it all because of iniquity.

The Lord knows who is His (2 Timothy 2:19).  Iniquity is hidden sin and wickedness.  Most Christians think that wickedness is only for sinners, yet there Christians who proclaim to know Christ, yet still choose to do the same evil things that the world does and act like nothing is wrong with it.  We are supposed to be set apart from the world.  Romans 12:2 warns us, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”.

It doesn’t matter how long you have been saved, you have to empty yourself of iniquity or you will not be an honorable vessel that God can use.  Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:21-23   21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

This may be the time for you to do a heart check.  If we are to be Christ’s lights on this earth, but you are still playing with darkness, how do you think others will see the light?  If it’s time to go deeper in your relationship with God, it’s time to let go of things that could hinder you from becoming an honorable vessel that God can use for His glory.

The King James Version uses the term purge in verse 2:21.  In other words, you and I have to purge ourselves from anything that is not like the Lord within us as we work towards doing what He has called us to do.  If we don’t purge, then we hinder our effectiveness.

Sisters, let me make myself clear here, there is no way around this, you have to pour yourself out to God and examine your heart before Him on a continual basis.  It is not a one-time deal.  If you are honest, there are some things you already know about, but there might also be some things that may be setting you back from accomplishing God’s will that you are unaware of.  So I encourage you to humble yourself and go to Him to see if there’s anything hidden within your heart that needs to be cleansed and purified today.  He wants to make you an honorable vessel that He can use.  But you need to keep the lines of communication open, or you may become “stale bread”.  Or as Paul says, a “cheap vessel for everyday use”.

I’ll tell you something, once you rid yourself of the unforgiveness, hatred, jealousy, backbiting, lustful thoughts, sexual immorality, disobedience, pride, etc., anything that is displeasing to the Lord, He cannot use you until you come to Him with a clean heart.  God has a purpose for your life, but you cannot do it with a full heart – full of things that you know are displeasing to the Lord.

Gold and silver will never disintegrate – clay will return to dust.  As we begin this advent season and we prepare for the coming of Immanuel, let us purge our hearts and become the gold and silver vessels that can carry Christ to others.

Welcome to Scripture Saturday!

This coming week's memory verse is 2 Timothy 2:22...

Have a blessed and precious day and week everyone!

2 Timothy

R.E.A.D.!

12:00 AM

Welcome to Scripture Saturday!

Today we are memorizing 2 Timothy 2:15…

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

Here is the amplified version…

Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.

There is nothing in this world that will help us more to please God than to handle carefully and correctly God’s written word…we should be looking at the written word of God just as the psalmist wrote, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a lamp to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

While it is important to study His Word, we should not be studying to “show ourselves approved.” We are already approved in Jesus. Here, Paul is urging Timothy to be more diligent in living his life according to the Gospel.

And remember everyone, studying God’s Word is just one “ingredient to a healthy spiritual diet in God’s Word.” There are 4 things:

~ Reading the bible - just take your Bible and read through it, page by page, truth by truth.

~ Examine the bible - study. Take a passage of the bible and work through the text. Use resources to help you.

~ Apply the bible - once the Holy Spirit has shown you a truth, pray, put it in action, obey what you’ve learned.

~ Diligent - keep it up, don’t give up.

Make Bible study a major priority. Listen to what God is saying to you. As you READ  also pray - talk to God - He will listen. “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7) Answered prayer is one of the many benefits of abiding in His Word—walking with Christ and living His Word. This is our strength as a believer!

Have a blessed and precious day everyone!

Joyful Expectation {2 Timothy 4}

12:30 AM

Friday, October 6 th 2017 -

We close the second letter to Timothy with Paul’s final instructions. Paul sat in his cold,
damp prison cell and he knew deep inside these were his last days of ministry. This
exhortation to Timothy is with great determination: “I charge you…” - Now it is your turn
Timothy, you must carry the torch! - These same words are for us, too! What is keeping us
from doing so?

“I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to
judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:  2  preach
the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right
and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity
seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether
welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn
[those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual
maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching.” (4:1-2 AMP)

Preach the word! As Christians we are not only to know the word of God and keep it to
ourselves, but to share it… to preach it! We must always be ready to give testimony and
be ready in season and out of season. We should be ready always. We should preach it
when it is easy and preach it when it is difficult.

When Paul first encouraged Timothy saying: “Let no one look down on [you because
of] your youth, but be an example and set a pattern for the believers in
speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in [moral] purity.” (1 Tim. 4.12) He
was telling Him that it was not his experience in life what would bring forth
good fruits in his ministry, but his testimony (his example). I believe these
words are also true for us. We might not be mature Christians and might not
know much of the Word by heart, but if His Holy Spirit is in us, we will be
useful instruments at His service. But ultimately it is His Work, by the Power of
His Holy Spirit! I have seen this in my husband’s life: almost on a daily basis
he is encouraging people to seek God, to surrender their lives and plans to Him
and praying for them. He is just an ordinary man, but he loves God and wants
to serve Him. We shouldn’t be afraid (2 Tim.1:7) to tell others what our Father
has done in our lives through our Savior Jesus Christ!

In the next verses, Paul tells Timothy that he needed to keep focused on the Word of God
because man, by his natural instinct, does not want God's revelation. So people would
rather hear what they want to hear - something to scratch their itching ears. (4:3-4)
Paul also warns Timothy that t even though, there are plenty of wonderful blessings in
serving God, but there are also afflictions to be endured. (4:5, John 16:33)

Paul knew his life in this world would soon end, that he would soon be with Jesus and he
awaited this event in joyful expectation! Finally he would be free from all his hardship!

“ For I am already being  [a] poured out as a drink offering, and the time of  [b] my
departure [from this world] is at hand and I will soon go free.”

(A drink offering is first presented in Genesis 35:14, where Jacob poured out a drink
offering before the Lord as a sacrifice. In the Mosaic Law, drink offerings could be a part of
sacrifice to the Lord (Exodus 29:40-41 and Leviticus 23:13). Blueletterbilble.org)

Paul was about to be condemned and executed by an earthly court, but he was also going
to be rewarded in heaven by his Lord. (4:7-8, 18) And this promise is for us: also to all
who have loved and are looking forward to Jesus’ return. Yes, this promise is for us, if we
will set our focus on heaven and on Jesus, who walked the earth and now reigns in heaven
and is waiting to receive us! Yes, “To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Blessings my sisters!
Mari

2 Timothy

A Case for Discipleship {2Timothy 2}

12:00 AM

If you knew you were at the end of your life; with perhaps a matter of days or weeks left to live, what would you want to say to those you love most in a letter?

I’ve always approached the Book of 2 Timothy a bit differently knowing that this is the last of Paul’s letters; written to the one he considered to be his spiritual son (1Tim 1:2). I seem to open it with a bit of sadness (not really sure why) and a desire to dig to discover the weightiness of his last words. Paul writes his second letter to Timothy sometime after his second arrest in 67AD. This prison was much more severe than his house arrest we studied earlier, and somehow Paul knows he’s going to be martyred, rather than released this time. (2 Tim 4:6) Which is why I tend to think these words carry a bit more weight, for wouldn’t your words as well, if you knew this might be your last chance to share them?

There is so much here to write on, that I’ve struggled for several days trying to decide on what I should write about until I was finally given the “go-ahead” from the Lord to write on what I’m most passionate about. And you’ll see this is one area where Paul and I each share the same heart!! He starts right off with it here in chapter 2 with, “So you, my son, be strong and empowered in the grace that is [to be found only] in Christ Jesus. The things which you have heard me teach in the presence of many witnesses, entrust [as a treasure] to reliable and faithful men who will also be capable and qualified to teach others. (2 Timothy 2:1-2)

Did you catch it? This was Paul’s plan to grow the church! I have always liken verse 2  to a chain-linked fence with each member of the body connected to a more mature believer as he/she also connects and teaches a younger one(s), in order that they too will be able to teach others. Have you ever tried to break a chain-linked fence before!? If every church followed Paul’s plan no one would be left out and everyone would be ministering to others while they were being ministering to! Just imagine how God’s church would grow and mature! It would be a force to be reckoned with for sure! Can you see why Paul and I are so passionate about what is known as discipleship today!?

First let me share how I believe this plan is laid out and then I’d like to share a more personal testimony:
-- First, Christians need to abide/rely in the power of Christ. (v.2:1) Paul has already reminded Timothy in 2 Tim 1:7 that God has not given him a spirit of fear, but power, love and self-control.
Paul is assuring Timothy and us that we need to rely on the abiding power of Christ in us to bring this all about! None of us would ever be fully adequate for the task on our own, but all God needs is a yielded vessel.
-- Second, We all must remember that Jesus, Himself commanded ALL of us to, “Go and make disciples in Mt 28:18-20, “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” These were some of Jesus’ last words to his disciples and now Paul is charging Timothy with the same command.
-- Third, Our goal is to reproduce faithful men and women. We need to be investing in other believers with the mindset that they will soon be investing & teaching others.

I believe disciple-making happens best through intentional, intimate relationships with other believers.  Jesus’ command to love one another (Jn 13:34) is carried out through our relationships with others. Here are a few more commands along the same line and most given by Paul:
  • Be in agreement with one another (Rom. 12:16).
  • Accept one another (Rom. 15:7).
  • Instruct one another (Rom. 15:14).
  • Greet one another (Rom. 16:16).
  • Serve one another (Gal. 5:13).
  • Be kind and compassionate to one another (Eph. 4:32).
  • Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ (Eph. 5:21).
  • Admonish one another with all wisdom (Col. 3:16).
  • Encourage one another, and build each other up (1 Thess. 5:11).
  • Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another (James 5:16).

It all boils down to, “doing life together! Dietrich Bonhoeffer said it best: “Sin demands to have a man by himself. It withdraws him from the community. The more isolated a person is, the more destructive will be the power of sin over him.” Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” and I believe this was Paul’s intent here. Together we’re going to grow closer to one another as we grow closer to our Lord.

About this time last year, I became convicted by Jesus’ command in Mt 28:18-20. Suddenly I, as the “clay”, could no longer tell the “Potter” that I was too busy and not interested in making disciples, so I surrendered my time and will to Him and sent out an invitation to “friends” on Facebook. I committed to investing in as many as He would send, and six women accepted the invitation, making a group of seven. We started out as an eclectic group of strangers; some single, some married, some with children, some without! Most of us are living in the same town, but one lives thousands of miles away and joins us through the internet each time we meet. (She has also made a few trips down to join us in person as well)
First Photo of All of Us Except Ginger. (Sandra's On the iPad)

As soon as our group was set and even before our first meeting, I set up a group text as our main form of communications during the week. This way everyone receives the information all at the same time. The group started off quiet, but it wasn't long before we were texting throughout the day; some serious needs and some craziness. I think this has been one of the best means to draw us together as one.
Women's Conference We Attended Together

I feel I must reiterate however, this has been The Lord's group! From the very beginning, He brought us all together, and He has blessed us incredibly since!! I liken my role as leader as throwing a tiny atom into the mix and watching the whole thing mushroom! I think the neatest part as a leader is being able to watch the Lord work in each life, and collectively as a group! From the very first night, the level of sharing dropped down into such a level of intimacy that you don't often reach in other groups.
Our Whole Group Together Again Sept '17
We started out in January of this year as strangers and now we are forever sisters! Only God can make that happen in such a short time! Our faith has grown tremendously over these months as we've each leaned on the Lord and one another to help us step out of our comfort zones in order to grow! We've each given and received unconditional support that has helped us all to move further along on this journey!

I have loved this journey and have been so incredibly blessed this year by all the Lord has done and continues to do!! Nothing would please me more than to encourage all of you to take this step of faith and begin to form your own groups for next year!! I've listed a bit of the dynamics below to get you started, and I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have! This is truly of the Lord, for only the enemy would hate for you to be blessed as we've been, therefore the first step is always one of surrender and looking to Him to fulfill the desire now planted in your heart! <3

Group Dynamics:
    • Find a time that works for all
    • Each commit to meeting together every week for one year unless providentially hindered.
  • Commit to keeping everything shared in the group confidential.
  • Begin a group text so that all of you can keep in touch throughout the week.
  • Supply 3-ring binders for everyone divided into sections with pockets (prayer, evangelism, Scripture memory, journalling, etc.)
  • Each person commits to a daily Bible time including prayer and journalling what God is saying to you each day (You can use the study on WitW as a guideline. This way you’re all studying the same chapters)
  • At some point write out and share a 3 minute testimony as to how you came to faith in Christ.
  • Each person has the same verse(s) of Scripture to memorize each week.
  • Each read one chapter from a book selected to be discussed during your meeting.
  • Books should include one on discipleship, one on prayer, one on evangelism - different areas of our walk as Christians. Two, I’d recommend: Growing Up- by, Robby Galenty and Reclaiming Surrendered Ground- by, Jim Logan

Weekly Meetings: (1 ½ hours long)
  1. Reciting memory verse to one another.
  2. Share how God has been speaking to you this week.
  3. Share any prayer requests
  4. Book discussion
  5. Close in prayer
