Welcome to Scripture Saturday! 

Praise the LORD, all nations! Extol Him, all peoples! For great is His steadfast love towards us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD! (Psalm 117)

Knowing that God is Worthy shows me that when I am praising Him I am honoring and worshiping the only One who deserves my complete devotion.

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure,  whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Phil 4:8) (emphasis mine)

Praising God helps us…

~ to put our focus on Him and not one our own problems

~ complete God’s ultimate purpose for creating us

~ to know the will of God

~ to understand our own identity 

~ appreciate God’s grace, goodness and gain a richer sense of peace

~ become more aware of our blessings

~ desire to live lives that are blameless, pure, and wholly devoted to God

~ humbles us

~ strengthens our faith

~ to share with others the riches of knowing Him

~ reveal to others our devotion to Him

We all, nations and people, are to praise God.

Praise the LORD indeed!!
