Scripture Saturday ~ "Becoming A Woman After God's Own Heart - A Journey Through The Psalms"

12:00 AM

Welcome to Scripture Saturday!

There was so much in the psalms we read this week wouldn’t you agree!

In Psalms 106 to 109 God’s mighty power is seen by his great love toward His people, even when they are not in obedience to him.  And in Psalm 110 David's words are prophetic and points to the coming of the promised Messiah.  Jesus’ work was finished on the cross and so God the Father, told God the Son, to take his throne at the right hand of God.

However, when reading Psalm 110 I paused and reflected on these words…

The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind. (v.4)

Knowing that God is Immutable/Unchanging shows me that I can be confident, secure, never in doubt, about the promises He has made to me and to all of His children. He is my Rock.

God promised a Messiah, from the days of David, through the arrival of Jesus, to today and He will come again. God is in complete control of all and He will not change His mind. Isn’t that encouraging? In a world where many things are “wishy-washy”…constantly unpredictable, Gods’ promises, His character, His ways, His Word, His purpose are always steadfast and faithful.

So together we can say…

Praise God! You are so unlike this world. We praise Your unchanging mind. We praise that Your Word is always sure. We praise that You cannot lie. We praise that You are never wrong. We praise You for the Rock that You are! We place all of our trust in YOU!
