God is near!

Read Psalm 75 -Psalms 100

This is a psalm/song written by Asaph, a song to be sung to the tune “Do Not Destroy!” He was a Levite who was appointed as chief minister to give thanks and praise to the God of Israel.  Asaph was a gifted individual and he understood where the gift came from, and he used his music to praise the Lord and communicate His Word to a needy world.

We thank you, God, we thank you—
your Name is our favorite word;
your mighty works are all we talk about. Psalms 75:1 [Message Bible]

WE GIVE praise and thanks to You, O God, we praise and give thanks; Your wondrous works declare that Your Name is near and they who invoke [To address in prayer; to call on for assistance and protection; as, to invoke the Supreme Being.]  Your Name rehearse Your wonders. Psalms 75:1 [Amplified Bible]

·     Give thanks to Him Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

The LORD’S loving kindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

O LORD, our Lord,
How majestic is Your name in all the earth,
Who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens! Psalms 8:1

When you wake up in the morning what is the first thing that enters your mind?  Are you mindful of the Lord and that His mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness. If you do not it may take some time to develop that but ask Him and He will make you wake in the morning with Him on your mind.  It is a great way to wake up and start your day.

·     His name is near!

But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it. Deuteronomy 30:14

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

The LORD of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold.
Selah. Psalms 46:7

Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You,
For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalms 9:10

I encourage you to spend time in His word memorizing and reading on a daily basis. Your heart will be filled with His word and you can meditate on it throughout the day.

    Men declare Your wonderful works

So we Your people and the sheep of Your pasture
Will give thanks to You forever;
To all generations we will tell of Your praise. Psalms 79:13

I will sing of the lovingkindness of the LORD forever;
To all generations I will make known Your faithfulness with my mouth. Psalms 89:1

Sing to the LORD a new song;
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing to the LORD, bless His name;
Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.
3 Tell of His glory among the nations,
His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
4 For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods. Psalms 96:1-4

Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29

Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. Colossians 4:6

So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. Romans 14:19

The Lord is at work in all of our lives each day.  Do you look for Him throughout your day?  Do you share what He is doing in your life with others?  I find that sometimes the things I am going through, others are experiencing and we can encourage one another by what He is doing in each of our lives.

     God is the Judge!

And the heavens declare His righteousness,
For God Himself is judge. Psalms 50:6

Before the LORD, for He is coming,
For He is coming to judge the earth.                                                                                             He will judge the world in righteousness
And the peoples in His faithfulness. Psalms 96:13

For we know Him who said, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY.” And again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.” Hebrews 10:30

Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord. Romans 12:19

God is our Judge!  We do not need to get even with those who have hurt and offended us.  Run to the Father and He will fight for you. Psalm 35

I do not know what the past year has held for you all, but I do know that all things work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.  Rom. 8:28.  As you begin this new year take with you all that the Lord has done in your life.  Keep seeking Him!  He is faithful!
19 “Behold, I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19

Father, we praise Your Holy Name!  You are always with us, never leaving us nor forsaking us.  There are days that sometimes feels like You are not near but we can rest assured that Your Word says Your are with us.  You have done so much in our lives and may we share with others what You have done, so that we can encourage and build each other up.  So thankful that You are the Judge and we do not have to get revenge but bring all our grief’s and sorrows and our sins to You, for You took them on the cross for us. We look forward to when You return and we can spend eternity with You.  Keep us seeking, trusting and believing in Your word.  Help us to hide Your Word in our hearts that we might not sin against You.
