Friday November 13th Revelation 15
His Shekinah Glory!
Our God is a righteous God and His judgments will come to pass. It started with the 7 churches and then the scroll with the 7 seals (the 7th seal finally opens the whole scroll) and within the 7th seal the 7 trumpets and now the 7 angels with the 7 plagues. The number seven is completion. We are getting near the completion of God’s judgments.
In this chapter we find the last of the judgments of God.
Seven angels with seven plagues
which are the last because with them the wrath of God is finished! :1
They sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God. They are the same songs they sang to celebrate the deliverance from Pharaoh’s army and the song of the Lamb celebrating the finished work of God. They are victory songs, declaring who God is:
Almighty
Omnipotent
Ruler of all
Righteous
True
King of the nations
He alone is Holy
All the nations will come and worship before Him
and the seven angels who had the
seven plagues came out of the temple, clothed in linen, clean and bright, and
girded around their chests with golden sashes. :6
These angels are prepared for their work, clothed with pure and white linen, their breasts girded with golden girdles, representing the holiness, and righteousness, and excellence of these dealings with men. They are ministers of Divine justice, and do everything in a pure and holy manner. They were armed with the wrath of God against his enemies. Even the meanest creature, when armed with the anger of God, will be too hard for any man in the world. [Matthew Henry]
And the temple was filled with smoke
from the glory of God and from His power; and no one was able to enter the
temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished. Vs.:8
I could not find a good picture of to represent verse 8 but I did find what it might have looked like back in Moses’ time.
His Shekinah Glory filled the temple!
Shechinah – God’s visible presence.
All during the time
of the 7 bowls of wrath, we see that God fills His temple with His Shekinah Glory.
Just as He was
in the temple, He is with us! We are not
alone, He promises never to leave us nor forsake us. Have faith to believe, trust and hope with
perseverance. He is faithful!
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the
fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
