Scripture Saturday ~ "Becoming A Woman After God's Own Heart - A Journey Through The Psalms"

Welcome to Scripture Saturday!

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits…(Psalm 103:1, 2a)

Knowing that God is abounding in mercy shows me that my entire being - spirit, soul and body are in existence to bless the holy name of Jehovah. I am to be forever grateful, forever thankful, for all that He is and all that He has done and I will praise Him!

Let’s look at some of the attributes of God that David lists in the beginning of this Psalm…

He...

forgives all our sins

heals our diseases

continually delivers us from dangers, accidents and tragedies

loves us with everlasting love and showers us day by day with His mercy

satisfies our longing hearts.

David’s words then give us the result…that the man who dwells in God enjoys a life that, like an eagle, can soar with strength.

“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

Bless the Lord, O My Soul...Bless the Lord

God deserves our praise!
