Happy Scripture Saturday!

We, at Women in the Word, would like to approach Scripture Saturday in a different way than we have in the past. As a Christian ministry dedicated to studying the Bible with women, we encourage participation and would love to hear what the Holy Spirit has revealed to you. Each Saturday we will challenge you to go a bit deeper with each psalm for the day…seeing Jesus in each Psalm that we read together, as well as discover God’s attributes that the psalmist “brings to light” in his worshiping words. 

So that being said…this coming week’s reading and connecting readings are:

Seeing Jesus!         God’s attributes

Monday         8/29 Psalm 1 Matthew 5:3-11

Tuesday         8/30 Psalm 2 Hebrews 1:5

Wednesday 8/31 Psalm 3 Ephesians 4:26

Thursday         9/1      Psalm 4 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Friday 9/2 Psalm 5 Isaiah 38:18-20

You can use this fill in the blank statement at the end of the week to not only recognize one of God’s attributes that you find most convicting, but also to ask yourself how knowing God more should change you.

*Knowing that God is _______________ shows me that __________________________.

For instance…

Knowing that God is worthy of worship shows me that I will worship Him throughout my day, even if it’s ordinary, through prayer, reading His word, and fellowshipping with Him.

Each Saturday, I will be posting a similar chart for you to refer to as you read through the psalms and read our posts each day. We hope that you will be sharing your thoughts with us about what you have discovered about God and Jesus!
