Welcome to Scripture Saturday!
Our verse for this week is Psalm 90:14..."Satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days."
The Samaritan woman visited, and carried water from this well, back to her home during the hottest hours of day, everyday, just so she would alone to do this chore. On this day, when she arrived at the well, she found a Jewish man there. As she drew water from the well the man asked her for a drink. She was astonished that a Jewish man would even speak to her, a Samaritan, and as we find out, a sinner...
And as she continued to speak with Him she declares a truth, "I know that the Messiah is coming. When He comes He will explain everything to us." Jesus then declares to her, for the first time, that He is the Messiah, "I who speak to you am He." And from that moment on her life was completely changed for He had "water" that would take away her thirst forever. A water that would fill her so full of Himself that all her needs would be met, and all her wants satisfied.
Let me ask you...are you filling yourself so full of Him everyday that your deepest needs and wants are being met by the only One that can truly satisfy your thirst?
Have a blessed week everyone!
