Welcome to Scripture Saturday!
Our verse for this week is Joshua 1:9..."Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
I just love the story of Esther. I love how God reveals how much He loves using the most unlikely, ordinary people to accomplish His purposes. Esther, who is a nobody, becomes a queen, and then becomes an important part of saving her nation of people. She chooses to take a stand and she risks her life when, stepping out in faith, tells her king her deepest desire - to save her people from destruction. This is bravery and trust at its utmost.
We need to remember that Esther's position was no accident and neither is ours. God has placed us exactly where He wants us to be.
You may be wondering...how would God use me to accomplish His purposes? Remember, He isn't looking for the extraordinary or perfect. He is looking for someone who is willing, who trusts in Him and will step out in faith, and asks Him..."what might you, Father, have for me to do?"
Have a blessed week everyone!
