A Vision of Faith {Job 19}

Tuesday, May 14, 2019

I bet by now, most of us have realized that in this life we will have trials of many kinds.  We will have losses that will take our breath away and at times, feel like we’ve been beaten within an inch of our lives.  We will feel alienated and alone.  But, we have a choice – to focus on the loss or to focus on what God has promised – eternal life with Him!  Free of pain and suffering.  The best is yet to come!

The Book of Job is a great place to plant yourself when you are struggling in life because Job loses everything - his job, home, family, friends and his health – except, he never loses his belief in God.

The next time you find yourself wallowing at a party for one – look up and remember the One who can redeem you is not afflicting you.

Here is a great book to read.   It’s a short (about an hour read), but inspiring book, which will help you navigate your way through the trials of your life.   I could copy and paste nearly every sentence here for you, but you really need to read it for yourself.  I read it twice in two days.

I recently had a conversation with a sister-in-law and we were discussing the burdens that pile on our crosses as we walk toward Calvary.  We have to follow Jesus and take up our cross and follow Him.  Jesus knew that He would be resurrected and just like Job, Jesus knew that His redeemer lives!

God is working out a purpose in our lives.  When life seems to roar like a lion, leaving us mystified, are we allowing God to plant hope and faith in our minds and hearts?
