SoulSearching Sunday!
Week Seven
Welcome! We pray that you have all had a precious time worshipping the Lord this morning! Below you will find some thought provoking questions that will provide you a starting point to your journal writing to complete this week. We hope that you will find this time soul satisfying!
Our reading this week was Deuteronomy 1:1 - 30:20.
1. God assured His people that He was near and personal. In what ways has God proven to be your closest friend? How does that make you feel? How would people know that you are His friend? (Deuteronomy 4:7)
2. Recall an especially moving time of sincere worship. What was the root of that encounter? Ask God to increase your passion for Him, that you would love Him with all your heart, soul, and strength. (Deuteronomy 6:4,5)
3. What example of worship and devotion (or sin and indifference) do you display for those who are watching? Pray for the strength when your will is weak to come into His presence as a testimony to the next generation of His wondrous grace. (Deuteronomy 12:5,12)
4. Which of God's "commands" and "ways" do you need to be reminded to follow? To what degree do you feel His blessing upon your life? Ask God to bless you for His glory and to give you the desire to follow Him. (Deuteronomy 28:6,9)
